1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By creating an account or using Melia (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. NO MEDICAL ADVICE

Melia is a tool for self-discovery and intuitive eating journaling. We are not a medical organization.

• Not Clinical: Our staff and AI-powered reflections cannot give you medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Eating Disorders: The Service is not intended for the treatment or diagnosis of eating disorders. If you have a history of disordered eating, you should use this app only under the supervision of a licensed health professional.

• Consult Your Doctor: Always seek the advice of a physician before making significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.

3. AI-POWERED REFLECTIONS & DATA ACCURACY

You acknowledge that the reflections are generated by an artificial intelligence (via third-party providers like OpenAI). Because the Output is generated by AI, it may occasionally be inaccurate, biased, or incomplete. Melia is not responsible for any decisions made based on AI reflections.

• Informational Only: These insights are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational purposes only.

• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated reflection. Reliance on these insights is at your own risk.

4.PROHIBITED CONTENT & CONDUCT

You are responsible for the content you enter into your journal. You agree not to add, upload, or transmit any content that:

• Is harmful, offensive, hateful, or discriminatory.

• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or violent.

• Encourages self-harm or illegal activities.

• Infringes on the intellectual property of others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards to ensure a safe and respectful environment for our AI-powered analysis.

5.SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION OF SERVICE

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without notice or liability, to refuse service, terminate accounts, or suspend access to the Service for any reason, including but not limited to:

• A violation of the Prohibited Content & Conduct standards.

• Any behavior that we deem harmful to the community, the Service, or our third-party providers.

• Technical or security issues.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability).

6. Ownership of Content

You own the journal entries you input ("User Input"). Melia owns the AI-generated reflections and patterns ("Output"). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use and share your reflections for personal purposes.

7. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING

• Premium Access: Certain features require a paid subscription.

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• Management: You must manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store (Apple) account settings. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

8. USER CONTENT & PRIVACY

You retain ownership of the meal logs, moods, and notes you post. By using the Service, you grant Melia a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store and process this data solely to provide the Service to you (including AI analysis).

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Melia and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service or the AI-generated reflections.
